SA: Man in three hour siege

Police have arrested a man who held officers at bay for three hours in Adelaide's northern
suburbs.

Police say the man jumped from the balcony of a unit in Guerin Road in north suburban
Salisbury about 3.40am (CST) and smashed through a window into the unoccupied unit below.

STAR Group officers set up a cordon around the units but the man fled to a nearby carpark.

Negotiators were called in and the man was arrested without injury at 6.45am.

He's been charged with property damage and will appear in a court at a later date.
