Company to close plasma collection center

Baxter International Inc. announced it will close 26 plasmacollection centers across the United States, including a center inMorgantown.

The company said it is closing the centers to improve theeconomics of its plasma therapies business. Baxter also said it has anumber of other initiatives under way to reduce expenses, includingreductions in its work force and infrastructure.
