Fed: Labor's GST policy a re-hash that won't work - Hockey

SYDNEY, Jan 12 AAP - The Labor Party's plan to simplify GST paper work for small business
was a rehash of an old policy that did not work then and would not work now, the federal
government said today.

Federal Labor leader Mark Latham today announced Labor would change the Business Activity
Statements (BAS) for small businesses to make it easier to work out their quarterly GST
payments.

He said businesses with a turnover of less than $2 million would be able to use an
