With windchills dipping around 30 below zero, the fly-tying season certainly is here. The weather is perfect for setting up near a heat source and whipping up a few flies on the chance that the streams thaw by trout season.
If you never have tied flies, it really isn't all that difficult. Learning to tie flies is just a matter of learning the basics and applying them to the various patterns that are out there.
